Mississippi State landed one of the top targets of its in-state recruiting class on Thursday, as three star athlete Corey Ellington of Holmes County High School gave his pledge to the Bulldogs.

Ellington picked MSU over offers from Indiana, Arkansas, and Southern Mississippi. He is rated as Mississippi’s 17th best prospect per 247sports.com. Ellington is the 8th commitment for Mississippi State in the 2021 class, now ranked 28th nationally.
