Mississippi State Lands Commitment From Four Star WR Theodore Knox

Mississippi State’s hiring of Mike Leach has obviously not yielded any results on the field as of yet, but on the recruiting trail, the new Air Raid offense is drawing interest from players who have not kept the Bulldogs on their radar in years past. Today, State added another one of those athletes, as four star wide receiver Theodore Knox of The Woodlands, TX committed to MSU’s 2021 class.

Knox is rated as the 225th best player in the class of 2021 regardless of position and the 41st best receiver in the country by 247Sports Composite rankings. Knox becomes the 10th commitment for MSU’s 2021 class, the third player from the state of Texas to give his pledge to the Bulldogs, joining two quarterbacks, Sawyer Robertson of Lubbock and Daniel Greek of Argyle. State’s class currently ranks 41st nationally in the 247Sports rankings.

Knox will bring great speed to Mississippi State upon his arrival. A 5’10” 167 pound slot receiver, Knox won the silver medal in the 100 and 200 state championships in Louisiana as a high school sophomore. State now has two receiver commitments in 2021, with Knox joining Hartfield Academy’s Brandon Buckhaulter in the class. The Bulldogs will likely look to add 2-3 more receivers before signing day.
