MSDH confirms 208 new COVID-19 cases, 14 deaths

The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 208 new cases of COVID-19. 

The latest report brings the state’s total number of cases up to 312,608. With the confirmation of *14 additional deaths, 7,221 Mississippians have passed away from the virus. 

*MSDH Note: 11 deaths occurred between January 24 and April 28, identified from death certificate reports.

 

Overall hospitalizations have dipped below 170 and the state’s 7-day average of new cases rests at 207. 

As of Monday, an estimated 301,872 Mississippians have recovered from COVID-19.
