MSDH confirms 212 new COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths

The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 212 new cases of COVID-19. 

The latest report brings the state’s total up to 310,349. With the confirmation of 2 additional deaths, 7,175 Mississippians have passed away from the virus. 

While the state’s 7-day average of new cases has dipped, overall hospitalizations have risen above 200 for the first time since the end of March. 

As of Monday, an estimated 299,066 Mississippians have recovered from COVID-19. 

The state has now exceeded 1.6 million administered doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Make your appointment at covidvaccine.umc.edu.
