MSDH confirms 233 new COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths

This morning, the Mississippi State Department of Health reported 233 new cases of COVID-19. 

The latest report brings the state’s total up to 309,818 cases. With the confirmation of 2 additional deaths, 7,163 Mississippians have passed away from the virus. 

Overall hospitalizations rose for the fifth straight day but remain below 200. 

Active outbreaks in Mississippi long-term care facilities have also risen slightly up to 25. 

As of Monday, an estimated 299,066 Mississippians have recovered from COVID-19.
