MSDH confirms 585 new COVID-19 cases, 26 additional deaths

The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 585 new cases of COVID-19.

The latest report brings the state’s total up to 80,695. With the confirmation of 26 additional deaths, 2,399 Mississippians have now passed away from the virus. 

Most notably, today’s report represents a decline in the number of new deaths reported after 67 were confirmed on Tuesday with an additional 58 in Wednesday’s report.

In the latest hospital data from the MSDH (Wednesday’s report), hospitalizations continued on their downward trajectory after a slight increase on Tuesday.
