MSDH confirms 644 new COVID-19 cases, 36 additional deaths

The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 644 new cases of COVID-19.

Today’s report brings the state’s total number of cases up to 121,509. With the confirmation of *36 additional deaths, 3,384 Mississippians have now passed away from the virus.

*MSDH Note: 8 COVID-19 related deaths occurred between July 29 and October 27, identified from death certificate reports.

Overall hospitalizations have dropped to 565 in the latest data from the MSDH.

An estimated 105,839 Mississippians have recovered from COVID-19.

When you go vote today, masks are not required at polling places but health officials have strongly encouraged you to wear one.
