MSDH confirms 749 new COVID-19 cases, 18 additional deaths

The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 749 new cases of COVID-19. 

Today’s report brings the state’s total number of cases up to 119,336. With the confirmation of *18 additional deaths, 3,328 Mississippians have now passed away from the virus. 

*MSDH Note: 13 COVID-19 related deaths occurred between July 31 and October 25, identified from death certificate reports.

Overall hospitalizations have once again surpassed 600 in the most recent data from the MSDH. 

As a reminder, earlier this week, Governor Tate Reeves expanded his recent executive order placing seven additional counties under a mask mandate and stricter social distancing guidelines.

As of Monday, an estimated 101,385 Mississippians have recovered from COVID-19.
