MSDH reports 283 new COVID-19 cases, 4 additional deaths

The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting under 300 new cases of COVID-19 for the third straight day. 

Today’s report of 283 new cases brings Mississippi’s total up to 19,799. 895 Mississippians have passed away due to the virus with this morning’s confirmation of 4 additional deaths. 

There are 83 active outbreaks in Mississippi long-term care facilities, which is down from 107 on June 8th. 

A chart from the MSDH shows that while hospitalizations were stable over the weekend, the number of patients in ICU did rise. 

The MSDH is able to estimate that 15,323 Mississippians have recovered from COVID-19. 

240,664 Mississippi residents have been tested (10,161 antibody tests).
