MSDH reports 328 new COVID-19 cases, 23 additional deaths

The Mississippi State Department of Health’s latest report confirms 328 new cases of COVID-19. 

Today’s report brings the state’s total number of cases up to 14,372. 693 Mississippians have passed away from the virus with the confirmation of 23 additional deaths. 

127 outbreaks have been confirmed in Mississippi long-term care facilities. The MSDH defines an outbreak as “one or more cases among staff or residents.”

According to data from the MSDH, hospitalizations, the number of patients in ICU and the number of ventilators in use experienced increases. 

As of Monday, 9,401 Mississippians have recovered from COVID-19.

According to the MSDH, 156,497 Mississippians have been tested.
