MSDH reports 612 new COVID-19 cases, 22 additional deaths

The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 612 new cases of COVID-19 — the third time in the last four days that less than 1,000 new cases have been reported. 

Today’s report brings Mississippi’s total number of cases up to 69,986. With the confirmation of 22 additional deaths, 2,011 Mississippians have passed away from the virus. 

The latest hospital data showed a decrease in overall hospitalizations and ICU bed usage. 

As of Monday, the MSDH is able to estimate that 49,836 Mississippians have recovered from COVID-19.
