Students who graduated this past May more than likely experienced a virtual commencement due to COVID-19, however, that won’t be the case for Mississippi State students set to graduate this fall.

On Friday afternoon, Mississippi State announced its plans to hold in-person commencement ceremonies at both the Meridian and Starkville campuses.

“Graduation is such a meaningful time for our students and our university,” MSU President Dr. Mark Keenum, who will be providing the commencement address, said. “Despite the ongoing pandemic necessitating some adjustments to our traditional ceremony, I am looking forward to celebrating the accomplishments of our outstanding graduates with them and their families.”

The graduation ceremony in Starkville will take place on November 25 at Humphrey Coliseum, while MSU-Meridian’s will be held on December 1 at the Riley Center—both with limited attendance.
