The all clear has been given for operations to resume at Madison Station Elementary School following a threat.
Madison County School District officials reported Wednesday morning that an unspecified threat had been reported at the school. As a result, students and staff were transported to Ridgecrest Baptist Church on Old Canton Road while law enforcement officials assessed the situation.
After investigating, police determined that there was no active threat to the campus.
“Madison Station Elementary will be closed for the day as officials finish processing the campus,” a statement from the school district reads. “We will keep you posted on further developments.”
No arrests have been announced at this time.
