Reeves, Waller set to debate tonight at 7 p.m.

Tonight is the final showdown between the candidates in the Republican gubernatorial primary.

Ahead of next Tuesday’s runoff election, Lt. Governor Tate Reeves and former Mississippi Supreme Court Justice Bill Waller Jr. will meet for a debate at 7 p.m. tonight.

The 30-minute, commercial-free debate is being hosted by WJTV and can also be heard live across the state on Supertalk Mississippi. You can listen online at supertalk.fm/listen.

WJTV’s Byron Brown will moderate the debate.

The runoff election between the two candidates is set for next Tuesday, the 27th.

During the primary election, Reeves received 182,979 votes (49%) to Waller’s 124,707 (33%). Former state Rep. Robert Foster’s 66,441 votes were good for 18% of the vote.
