School bus crash leaves two students hospitalized in North Mississippi

A crash involving a school bus in North Mississippi has left two students hospitalized. 

The crash, that involved a Lee County School District bus, occurred on Highway 178 in Mooreville this morning.

An 11-year-old girl, a fifth-grader at Mooreville Elementary School, was airlifted to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis while a 15-year-old ninth-grade girl at Mooreville High School was transported by ambulance to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
