With the election coming up on November 3, some companies like Target, Old Navy, and Tory Burch, are opting to pay their employees for eight hours of work if they serve as a poll worker.

On the other hand, there are some companies that are considering closing down completely on Election Day to give all their employees the opportunity to express their right to vote.

Mississippi’s Secretary of State, Michael Watson, said in a Facebook post, “If you are interested in serving as a poll worker for the upcoming election, please visit the Poll Worker Portal on our website. We’ll help connect you to local election officials who will contact you if your services are needed.”
