The Mississippi Match 5 jackpot continues to set records as the grand prize has risen to an estimated $795,000 for the drawing on Saturday night.

Unprecedented sales and no jackpot winners have continued to push the jackpot amount higher, as no ticket matched all five numbers during Thursday’s drawing. The next drawing will be the 24th roll for the current prize, with the last jackpot of $55,000 being hit on December 10.

“This is phenomenal,” Mississippi Lottery Corporation President Jeff Hewitt said. “Players have been enjoying this game so much. Seeing that excitement swell has pushed the jackpot to record amounts.”

Since its launch, Mississippi Match 5 has had five jackpots of more than $500,000. Each time there’s a jackpot winner, the game resets to a $50,000 jackpot. The previous Mississippi Match 5 record jackpot of $665,000 was hit in July 2021 and was split between two winning tickets.

There are still three winning tickets that have yet to be claimed in Mississippi, with the most recent ticket being purchased at a Sprint Mart on West Main Street in Tupelo. The ticket, which was purchased for Monday’s Powerball drawing, won $50,000 after matching four of five white balls and the Powerball.

The two additional unclaimed tickets were purchased for a Powerball and Mega Millions drawing. One $500,000 ticket was purchased in McComb from the August 13 Powerball drawing and is set to expire on February 9. Another $4 million ticket was purchased at the Byram Chevron from the January 3 Mega Millions drawing and will expire on July 2.
