The suspect in a double homicide investigation in Hinds County is on the run.

According to the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a 911 call from a child regarding a shooting at the Brandon Arms Apartment complex in Edwards on Sunday morning. Upon arrival, officers found 57-year-old Michael Anthony Lawson & 27-year-old Djuana Robinson dead from gunshot wounds.

The HCSO identified 19-year-old Justin Mosley as the suspect in the shooting, stating that he allegedly shot Lawson on the outside of one of the apartment buildings. He then allegedly kicked in the door of Robinson’s apartment and shot her. While no motive is known at this time, authorities say that the suspect knew at least one of the victims.

Robinson’s three children – a six-year-old & two toddlers –  were home at the time of the shooting but none were injured.

Mosley is currently wanted for one count of Capital Murder and one count of Murder stemming from this morning’s incident. He is also wanted for one count of House Burglary stemming from an unrelated incident that occurred at the same apartment complex on January 11, 2020. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Justin Mosley is urged to contact the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office at 601-974-2900. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
