Last night’s severe weather will be clearing as the morning progresses into Friday. The National Weather Service in Jackson says windy conditions will continue west of the I-55 corridor with a chance of thunderstorms expected to the east during the morning hours. Wind gusts up to 40 mph will be seen throughout the duration of the day.

Northern Mississippi

Partly sunny and windy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning as temperatures sit in the upper 60s. Tonight will bring colder and partly cloudy skies with lows in the lower 40s.

Central Mississippi

Mostly sunny skies and windy with a chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms in the morning. The highs throughout the day will be in the lower 70s. Colder temperatures in the mid-40s and mostly clear skies will roll in during the night.

Southern Mississippi

Sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning with temperatures ranging in the mid to upper 70s. The night will bring in cooler and clear weather with lows in the upper 40s.
