Mike Espy officially launched his campaign Tuesday and will likely be setting the stage, once again, to face incumbent Republican Cindy Hyde-Smith.
In 2018, Hyde-Smith and Espy battled for the remainder of Senator Thad Cochran’s term. Cochran, who resigned in April of 2018, passed away last year.
Hyde-Smith ultimately won the race, making her the first woman to represent Mississippi in in the U.S. Senate.
