Ole Miss may have gotten a cover athlete, but Mississippi State is being recognized for its raucous game day environment in the upcoming College Football 27 video game.
EA Sports dropped its top 25 toughest places to play list on Monday, and Davis Wade Stadium was highlighted among some of the most intimidating venues. The Bulldogs’ stadium came in at No. 25, and if you’ve ever been to Starkville on a Saturday night in the fall, you know 60,000-plus cowbells ringing in unison makes things quite difficult for opposing teams, especially on the offensive side of the ball.

Davis Wade Stadium was among some of the most feared facilities in the college football world, including LSU’s Death Valley, Penn State’s Beaver Stadium, Georgia’s Sanford Stadium, and Oregon’s Autzen Stadium. The full list can be found here.
As for Ole Miss, Vaught-Hemingway Stadium did not make an appearance, despite the Rebels being 22-1 in their last 23 home games. Regardless, Ole Miss has been represented quite nicely in the game, with star running back Kewan Lacy being announced as one of College Football 27’s cover athletes, joining Oregon quarterback Dante Moore, and Miami wideout Malachi Toney.
The game will be released on July 9, giving both Mississippi State and Ole Miss fans a teaser before the 2026-27 campaign kicks off in September.
