The countdown continues for the return of college football in Mississippi.
After receiving full schedules for the 2026-27 campaign back in December and time slots for the first three games in May, fans now have a general idea of when kickoff times for the full season will take place.
TV time windows during the upcoming season are in four categories: early (11 a.m. to noon CT start), afternoon (2:30 to 3:30 p.m. CT), night (5 to 7 p.m. CT), and flex (either between 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. or 5 to 7 p.m. CT).
Ole Miss
The Rebels will begin year one of the Pete Golding era on Sunday, Sept. 6, in the Music City Kickoff, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. CT. As for the home opener, the first Ole Miss football game at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium will occur versus Charlotte on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 6:45 p.m., which will be a positive for fans looking to beat the Mississippi heat. Then, the game on everybody’s radar will take place, with Lane Kiffin’s LSU squad rolling into Oxford on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 6:30 p.m.
Ole Miss will then take on Florida in the Swamp at a flexed time on Sept. 26, then battle at Vanderbilt in the flex window at home following a bye on Oct. 10, before facing former signal caller Austin Simmons and Missouri in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in the afternoon slot on Oct. 17.
The red and blue will begin the back half of the season at Texas in the flex window on Oct. 24, then compete against Auburn early at home on Halloween, and host Georgia in the flex spot on Nov. 7. The final three regular-season games will be at Oklahoma in the afternoon on Nov. 14, at home against Wofford at 11 a.m. on Nov. 21, and the annual Egg Bowl versus Mississippi State on Black Friday at 11 a.m.

Mississippi State will begin conference play against South Carolina on Sept. 19, at 3:15 p.m. CT.
Moving along, the Bulldogs will get the night slot at home against Missouri on Sept. 25, before hosting Alabama in the early window on Oct. 3, and taking on Kiffin’s LSU team at LSU following a bye week on Sept. 17.
The latter half of the season will begin at home against Oklahoma in the flex window on Oct. 24, ahead of a Halloween night battle at Texas, and a flexed home game versus Vanderbilt on Nov. 7.
