Matthew Kinne, the former Oxford Police officer accused of murdering 32-year-old Dominique Clayton, is being moved to another jail after a photo of him went viral on Facebook.

Seen above, the photo shows Kinne eating outside of his cell at the Panola County Jail with no handcuffs on and little to no supervision.

Multiple reports state that Kinne has since been moved to Union County.

Attorney Carlos Moore is representing Clayton’s family in the case and gave the following statement following the photo’s circulation.

“The photo of Matthew Kinne getting preferential treatment while incarcerated in jail was a slap in the face to the family of Dominique Clayton. However, it only made us more determined to get justice for Dominique and to continue to pray that Matt is indicted for capital murder and convicted of the same,’ Moore said.

Authorities have not confirmed details related to Clayton’s death, but multiple reports at the time indicated that she was shot in the back of the head at her Oxford home while she was sleeping and that her body was found by one of her four children.

Shortly after her death, it came to light that Clayton and Kinne, a married man, were involved in a romantic relationship.

Following Kinne’s arrest in May, his bond hearing was initially postponed and a new judge was chosen to preside over the case after Judge Andrew Howorth recused himself.

Kinne was terminated from the Oxford Police Department after his arrest.
