Let the slime fall! New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart is your latest Nickelodeon Valuable Player of the Week after leading his team to its inaugural victory of the 2025-26 season in his debut start, and in impressive fashion.
On Wednesday, Dart was presented with a trophy featuring the children’s entertainment platform’s signature orange blimp by his teammate and fellow rookie, running back Cam Skattebo. Skattebo, and two of the Giant (pun intended) offensive linemen then doused the recently coronated QB1 with celebratory slime.

Dart, who was given the green light by head coach Brian Daboll to be the team’s starter after veteran Russell Wilson’s efforts yielded three straight losses, completed 13 of 20 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. The dual-threat field general also logged 54 yards and a score on 10 carries in the 21-18 win over the previously unbeaten Los Angeles Chargers.
“It’s just a football game, that’s just the best way to describe it,” Dart said when asked how he felt mentally and physically. “Obviously, this experience was a special one, being my first one.”

Next up for the Dart-led Giants is a road matchup against the winless New Orleans Saints this weekend. That game will kick off in Caesar’s Superdome on Sunday at noon, and folks can expect to see plenty of red and blue in the crowd, with many Ole Miss fans making plans to head down to the Big Easy to watch their team’s former signal caller in action at the next level as the Rebels enjoy a bye week.
