Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) in Mississippi

Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) programs throughout the state. LEAD focuses on assisting officers in diverting people with addiction issues into treatment rather than jail.  Mississippi is piloting the program with Ridgeland Police Dept. and Biloxi Police Dept.

Angela Mallette, the executive director of LEAD, and nationally recognized leader in addiction recovery joined Rebecca Turner on Good Things Recently, Angela was selected by Ryan Hampton and Facebook Community Leadership Project to attend Mobilize Recovery with leaders in recovery from around the country.

Her mission in Mississippi to empower those in recovery to register to vote! With a goal of 500 new registered voters from the recovery community, mobilizing them to help move legislation that helps make a recovery available and possible for those that need it most.
