New judge appointed for trial of man accused of killing two Brookhaven Police Officers

The Mississippi Supreme Court on Thursday, July 30, appointed retired Circuit Judge Richard W. McKenzie of Hattiesburg to preside over the Lincoln County case of State v. Marquis A. Flowers.

Lincoln County Circuit Judges Michael Taylor and David Strong recused themselves on July 24th.

Flowers is accused of killing Brookhaven Police Officers James White and Zach Moak in 2018. Flowers is charged with capital murder and is also charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
