Ole Miss has never lost a party, at least that’s an adage exclaimed in Oxford routinely.
No matter what happens on the field at the upcoming College World Series, you can always count on one thing — Ole Miss fans will find a way to enjoy themselves. And oddsmakers have taken note of that.
While the action on the diamond in Charles Schwab Field will be the main attraction in Omaha, a fan-favorite side show will be which team’s fanbase buys the most Jell-O shots at nearby Rocco’s Pizza & Cantina. An annual challenge, the local bar displays a whiteboard tracker featuring each team in the College World Series and keeps a tally of how many Jell-O shots each fanbase buys.
No stranger to the competition, Ole Miss fans not only won it in 2022 — the year the Rebels took home the national title — but also set the record for most shots purchased in the challenge’s history at 18,777.
Ahead of the 2026 challenge, Bookies.com anticipates Rebel fans drinking for another win.
Ole Miss has -150 odds to win the competition, with Texas in second place at +300 and Georgia in third at +500. Troy has the lowest odds at +10,000. It’s worth noting that the five SEC clubs vying for the title (Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and Texas) make up five of the top six fanbases with the highest likelihood of winning the challenge.

The Rocco’s Jell-O Shot Challenge began in 2019 with 30% of its gross revenue going to local food pantries. In 2022, the challenge yielded more than $46,000 to the Ole Miss Grove Grocery, an on-campus group aimed at alleviating food insecurity.
LSU holds the all-time Rocco’s record with a whopping 68,888 shots purchased a year ago, so Ole Miss fans will have some work to do if they want to surpass that figure. Notably, Raising Cane’s founder Todd Graves and prominent Louisiana attorney Gordon McKernan were responsible for at least 14,000 of those LSU purchases.
On the baseball side of things, Ole Miss swept its way through the Lincoln Regional and Auburn Super Regional to make it to Omaha. The Rebels’ College World Series will begin versus North Carolina on Friday at 6 p.m. with ESPN and participating SuperTalk Mississippi stations carrying the broadcast.
